Object Management

Please refer to the "Objects Management Tools" section for more information

The following tools are only used for objects.
These tools use the information stored in the “Object Hierarchy” panel.

This panel is shown in the following way:

The object hierarchy is filled each time the user shows a site on the VsdPos GUI.

The tree contains three types of node:

When you create a new site and select a background file for the site, the object tree is automatically filled with that data.
You can choose to import other objects by right-clicking on the tree and selecting “Import Object…”.
The VsdPos will add another container for the imported object and will create a child for each of the imported objects.

For example, the following tree shows two imported objects:

You can interact with both the Object Hierarchy and the GUI.
You can select an object from the tree, and see the selected object inside the 4 viewports.
For example, if you select the “wheel” node, the viewport will select the object and will show a bounding box that encircles the object:

When an object is selected, the Object Hierarchy Panel also shows its properties. The properties of an object are essential:

The “Position Base” option is used when you want to rotate a particular position around its axis. When this option is activated, if the position vectors will rotate around the designated vector of the position, and not the vector of the world
