Beams Keyframing Sample Part 2:
Interacting with the timeline
The timeline shows the time sequence with 30 frames of resolution.
This means that every second is divided into by 30 segments.
The timeline contains a set of cues that form an animation.
The cues are the red markers on the timeline. For the beams, there is always a first cue, set at zero.
Edit any cue by left-clicking on the cue.
A cue can have a set of properties. These are the available properties:
If you set the properties of the first cue in the following way |
The VsdPos3-D will show the following situation |
Note that the beam is pointed in the X direction because the angles are all set to zero.
The angle rotations are applied to the beam in a predetermined sequence from this initial point.
The beam is first rotated with the Tilt angle, then with the Pan angle, and finally with the Side angle.
When the Side angle rotation is equivalent, the beam rotates around the X vector of the position.
When the Tilt angle rotation is equivalent, the beam rotates around the Z vector of the position.
When the Pan angle rotation is equivalent, the beam rotates around the Y vector.
The orientation of the beam is calculated in the following way:
